Candlewood Valley Health and Rehabilitation (CVHR), located at 30 Park Lane East, New Milford, recently submitted a donation of $10,282.42 to the American Cancer Society via the New Milford Woman’s Club Pink Angels to benefit Breast Cancer patients.
Donation funds were raised at CVHR’s second annual breast cancer awareness event on October 23, 2020. This year, to meet the highest safety protocols, the event took place outside under spaced out tents. “It was handled much like a farmers market,” said program director, Melissa Marici, “but we also had food, drinks, music, raffles and a great cause to rally around!”
Program partners included LaPiccolina Cucina. Tribury Rotary, New Milford’s Knights of Columbus, Season’s Hospice, Benchmark’s The Village at Brookfield Common, Massage by DorothyAnn, Emalyn Sweets, Juniper Home Care, At a Crossroad, Frank and Nance Natural Beauty, and Medical Home Care, OEP Soapery, The Hunt, Classic Liquors, Flamingo Mel Designs, Author-Cindy Sevell, and a Ruth Chase Flowers.
