Our Philosophy

A Special Calling

We are unified in our commitment to a special calling:

  • To enhance the quality of life of individuals coping with the advancing age, continuing health challenges or temporary illness or disabilities.
  • To make each individual’s day in our care as safe, comfortable and fulfilling as possible.
  • To create a strong sense of family among our long-term residents, short-term rehabilitation residents, and the entire staff.
  • To transcend quality care standards by responding to each resident’s unique personal history and set of needs.

We foster collective dedication by building a supportive, professional environment & empowering employees to excel. We measure our success by the successes – large and small – of our residents. We strive to set an example in our field.

We draw inspiration from a resident’s smiling friendship…a family’s deep gratitude…our community of devoted colleagues.

CMS Rating

What are the five-star quality ratings?

CMS-RatedFive-Star Quality Rating
Nursing home ratings come from:

  • Health Inspections
  • Staffing
  • Quality Measures

A star rating is provided for each of these three sources, in case some areas are more important to you than others. Then, these three ratings are combined to calculate an overall rating.

Why is this important?
Nursing homes vary in the quality of care and services they provide to their residents. Reviewing health inspection results, staffing data, and quality measure data are three important ways to measure nursing home quality. This information gives you a “snap shot” of the care individual nursing homes give.

Use the Five-Star together with other information
The Five Star Quality Rating System is not a substitute for visiting the nursing home. This system can give you important information, help you compare nursing homes by topics you consider most important, and help you think of questions to ask when you visit the nursing home. Use the Five-Star ratings together with other sources of information.
